This production takes place at the historic Plummer House in Rochester, MN, a 1924 English Tudor mansion nestled among five acres of scenic gardens. Audiences will be immersed from the very start, beginning with a lively Italian-style Aperitivo Hour featuring signature hors d’oeuvres from local Italian eateries Terza and Pasquales, and a handcrafted cocktail by Bitter & Pour, as the story unfolds in an intimate, interactive setting—perfect for both opera newcomers and longtime enthusiasts.

What is the Aperitivo Hour?
Guests attending evening performances with a Full Immersion or Date Night ticket are invited to arrive early for Aperitivo Hour—a relaxed, Italian-style pre-opera gathering featuring a variety of savory hors d’oeuvres, including signature bites from local Italian eateries Terza and Pasquales, and an Italian style signature cocktail from Bitter & Pour. Enjoy live music by while you mingle on the sun porch overlooking the Plummer House gardens, soaking in an atmosphere inspired by the charm of Florence.
Those joining us for matinee performances will enjoy a pre-show Caffè and Dessert Hour, where Full Immersion and Date Night ticket holders can gather for Italian desserts and coffee, accompanied by live music.
Dress Code
While there’s no formal dress code, many guests enjoy dressing up for the occasion, adding to the celebratory spirit of the event.
