Overview
Act I features scenes from Tempus Fugit, a profound contemporary opera, by composer Kevin Dobbe, that explores time and the human experience. Tempus Fugit combines mesmerizing live performances by vocalists Carla Thelen Hanson and Andrew Whitfield and dancer Brigette Benyi along with New Media technologies including digital projections, motion capture metahumans and singing projected avatars.
Act II celebrates women’s voices and stories through the timeless works of Verdi, Puccini, Dvořák, Wagner, Strauss, and more. Presented by Hometown Opera Company, this act features fully staged opera scenes with captivating choreography by Isiah Giberson-Asplund, blending classical music with the vibrancy of modern dance and stunning visual projections.
